This one off spectacular Moscow event will showcase Dziga Vertov’s groundbreaking silent reissued, re-mastered work with a remarkable twist: featuring Michael Nyman score. Dziga Vertov’s “A Sixth Part of the World” is one of the key films in cinematic history showing Russian life in the early 20th Century – people of the city at work and play. Vertov uses all the cinematic techniques at his disposal; dissolves, split screen, slow motion and freeze frames, to produce a work that is exhilarating and intellectually brilliant.
This unique and unusual concert experience features silent film with orchestra accompanying live on stage and will create a night of memories to last a lifetime.
