Andrei Makarevich’s concert

Andrey Makarevich is a legend of Russian rock music and a genuinely fascinating personality. Some 33 years ago - in fact exactly at the time that the Beatle's back in the USSR was written! - Andrey created one of the first Soviet underground bands 'Mashina Vremeni' - 'The Time Machine'. The group became an icon of free artistic expression for several generations of Russian people and caused a musical revolution in the country similar to what The Beatles and The Rolling Stones did to the music culture globally.

Andrey Makarevich still writes new songs and performs with Mashina Vremeni. However, lately Andrey has begun to develop his long-standing interest in art, turning it into a professional career. His graphical works became well known in Russia and, for the first time, were brought to the United Kingdom by the Alla Bulyanskaya Gallery.
